Apple Blossom Festival
The Apple Blossom Festival has been celebrated in Winchester, VA since 1924 and recognizes the region’s long connection to apple harvesting. The festival is held in early May and is really a series of events held over a week’s time that culminates in the grand parade. Cives Steel employees constructed a float to portray the global theme by fabricating a steel apple tree filled with blossoms that transitioned into apples of various sizes. With Cives being a business that’s been part of the community for over 50 years, the crowd openly cheered for the float, and it was awarded 1st place in the non-professionally built category.
