As Shop Supervisor, you help support our mission, vision and values through the leadership and development of your team. You are responsible for delivering quality fabricated material for our projects through effective communication, safe manufacturing processes and procedures, and employee engagement in a steel fabrication setting. The Shop Supervisor will oversee and manage employees in the fitting and welding area and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards.

Schedule: Mon – Thurs 3:30pm until 2am

- Supervisory: 5 years (Required)

What You'll Do As A 2nd Shift Shop Supervisor
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain a safe, efficient work environment performing in harmony with all departments.
- Oversee the daily workflow, schedules and assignments of the fitting and welding area.
- Develop and manage production employees assigned to the fitting and welding area.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations for all employees.
- Prepare employee records for advancement, attendance, and discipline.
- Ensure that employees are satisfactorily trained and comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and execute work plans to ensure safe, efficient operations.
- Communicate daily progress with Shop Superintendent and all other Shop Supervisors.
- Ensure that materials are identified, fabricated, and welded accurately.
- Coordinate maintenance of departmental equipment and review preventative maintenance reports.
- Timely documentation of safety incidents, employee training, evaluation and discipline.
- Continual development of processes and equipment knowledge.
- Organization and accurate flow of materials.
- Ensure that fitting and welding area is kept neat and orderly and free from waste materials.
- Work as part of the team to complete other related duties as necessary for overall shop success.
